On March 6th, the Technology Transfer Office attended a meeting with HongDu Aviation Group, facilitated by the HKU Business School, to enhance collaboration with the Mechanical Engineering department. The meeting was centered around HongDu Aviation Group's plans to establish an R&D center and smaller-scale factory in Hong Kong, with discussions focused on exploring potential joint development initiatives, aviation testing laboratory establishment, student internship opportunities, and commercialising advanced aviation technology. Representatives from the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park (HSITP) also attended the meeting, discussing the availability of office spaces and land parcels for development. The event was a significant step towards strengthening relationships and creating opportunities for future collaboration within the aviation industry.
