This year, HKU participated at the 46th edition of The International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva (“IEIG”) 2018 which was held during April 11 – 15, 2018 for the very first time with seven of its inventions. The IEIG is one of the top three events held in Geneva, Switzerland annually and it is exclusively devoted to inventions and innovations from around the world. IEIG 2018 had attracted a thousand inventions and products, 822 exhibitors from 40 countries and 31,050 visitors from all 5 continents.

We are pleased to share that HKU was conferred a total of eight awards by the international jury of experts, details as follows:
• The Prize of Patent Office of Corporation Council for the ARAB STATES OF THE GULF – GCCPO
• One Gold Medal with Special Recognition by the International Jury of Experts
• Three Gold Medals; and 
• Three Silver Medals.
