Dr Gilbert Wong had delivered a very interesting and interactive speech to our future entrepreneurs about different types of “connections” and how they enable entrepreneurs to create their own business. The main theme of the seminar is that the real world of starting a business is by using your connections. Connections embraced “close-ties” and “open-ties”. The dynamic internet world provides a golden opportunity for entrepreneurs to collaborate with different matrix of people. Dr. Wong further emphasized the importance of creating connections with your customers, your venture fund partners and the peers in your industry. We can develop different networks, but never make it become a redundant connection.
